A place where I can exhibit my leisurely passion of card making.

I've been checking out this blog for several weeks now - Beate's Fresh and Fun website - there's the Weekend Sketch Challenge. I've done one sketch in addition to this one.

So Cuttlebug has some new items. And this butterfly is one of them. It is one of the 3x3 dies and it comes with 4 embossing folders. Each folder has a different pattern. But the embossing folders only have an embossed pattern to match the size and shape of the die cut butterfuly. Does my explanation make sense? What I want to say is ... why didn't Provo Craft use the entire folder using the embossed pattern? That way I could emboss not only the butterfly, but other shapes as well? You know they don't have to pay me in cash for these ideas, a Cuttlebug item or two would do the trick.

Here's a little something that I created using one of my fav things - the Cuttlebug. For these cards, I used the small embossing folders. I have not used them in a while. I also recently purchased the large K and Company paper pack. I had gotten out of the habit of purchasing paper packs. I have many unused packs like the one from KI Memories. Love it, but have not used it.

I really, really, really like this card. I made it for a friend - who almost did not get it. She had asked me to make her a set of Valentine's Day cards. This is one of the six.Labels: card, cuttlebug, embossing, heart, ranger ink, rhinestones, rick rack, tim holtz distress ink, Valentine's Day
I absolutely love hearts. I would like to think that I have every heart die cut that exists (if I have a machine to use it in).
So the design of these cards is super easy. The embossing adds a really nice touch too. How about that lil sentiment? I purchased those last year at Michaels - they were $1 for two. Nice.
Basic Grey papers make my crafting so much easier. It's very classy, yet vintage. I like muted colors too (if you had not noticed).
These are my Valentine's Day cards for this year.
