More all occasion cards!

Here's a pair of cards using Basic Grey's Perhaps. There are more cards, but they did not scan so well, so I am not posting them until I can get a better image scan. Also, I still have not determined the best type of ink to use on the Bazzill Bling. On the 'Thanks', I used Tim Holtz. The Holtz ink worked well w/the flourshes, but again my concern is w/the Bling; on the 'Friend', I used VersaMagic.
Other products used: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Bling and craft supply
Stamps: Hero Arts, Autumn Leaves, and Stampin Up!
Ink: VersaMagic and Tim Holtz
Ribbon: Making Memories, Joanns and Michaels
Button: Foo Fa La
Rhinestone brad: Making Memories
Tools: Fiskars, ProvoCraft's Cuttlebug and EK Success

My crafty future ...

I've gone nearly a week w/o making a craft purchase. I might make it to Sunday and that would be good since the Michael's coupon expires on Saturday. I did receive a nice lil package from my sister. She sent me three Cuttlebug embossing folders: hearts, bloom dots and script.

But, oh, I almost forgot, I won a bid on eBay today for the QuicKutz Zoe! Shame on me, huh?

The last thing I made was the altered composition book, though I did get the monogram cards packaged to mail out to my girlfriend for her birthday.

Now, I am working on some cards using the Basic Grey Perhaps line. I purchased four different sheets and I am getting the most out of those four sheets! They were .89 cents per sheet, which is alot in the patterned paper world. I plan to finish those up in the next day or so, so be in the look out for some new pix here.

My next project is for a journaling challenge that I plan to enter in a few weeks. I have most of the journaling complete, I just need to get the mini-album in order. I think am going to use a Basic Grey Blitzen matchbook album. I also think I am going to ink the edges because I think it will give it the antique look that I like. I've never done a journaling album, so I am looking forward to this.

Monogram Cards

My friend recently remarked that I don't sell my cards or give them away ... I just look at them and file them away in boxes. Well, since her birthday is coming up, I decided to make some monogram cards for her.

They were lots of fun and easy to do. I want to submit one or two for a contest, but guess what...? If I do that, then I can't send them to her ... I guess I'll have to get going on another set to submit, huh?

Here are some of the products that I used:

Card base: KI Memories
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Bling, Die Cuts With A View
Patterned Paper: KI Memories
Circle and Flower Punches: EK Success
Various ribbon and other embellishments

The Mailbox Craze! UPDATE-more pix!

Altering mailboxes is so fun! Once I get done measuring the paper for the mailbox flag and cutting out the end pieces. I like the embellishing the most. As you can tell, I use a lot.

The boy's box was a bit tricky because I did not want it to be too girly. I thought the black gave it more of a boy feeling even though I still used some ribbon.

I used KI Memories and Paper Salon patterned paper on the mailboxes pictured here.

Who Loves Ya?

As Valentine's Day nears, I'm pumpin out more and more cards for those loved ones.

For this batch, I grabbed an idea from the most recent edition of Paper Crafts magazine (p. 29). I used Basic Grey's Lily Kate line, which is what was used in the layout. I did not purchase the entire Lily Kate paper pack, but one of the little 6x6 pads. So I really just got a taste of the Lily Kate line. The line has a soft touch to it. I like the simplicity of these cards, though they took longer to make than I anticipated. Oh, and I don't know that you can really tell, but I used the new Bazzill Basics Bling cardstock. It has a little shimmer to it.

Card base: Halcraft
Patterned paper: Basic Grey's Lily Kate
Cardstock: Bazzill Basic's Bling
Flower punch: EK Success

Ribbon: Michaels and Offray
Ink: VersaMagic
Happy Love Day Stamp: Savvy Stamps
Happy Valentine's Day Stamp: Katie&Co.
Pre-tied bow: Offray
