The new Basic Grey is awesome!

So I put in a 'pre-order' for some of the new Basic Grey (BG) line. Yeah, pre-order my *&^%. I'm thinking 'pre-order' - I will have it in my crafty little hands before the mainstream crafters getta hold of it ... silly me. I went to Archiver's and picked some up and then finally, a week later my BG finally arrives at my house. Whatever; lesson learned, right? Because that shipping is a monster. I could buy another 6x6 paper pack w/the cost of that shipping ... okay, enough of the minor rant.

I have my goodies and I absolutely love some of the lines. I think Boxer is my all time fav! That's a heavy statement, right? ... but I'm going to stick with it. You might agree since that's what I used in these cards. I like the feel of the line; the muted colors the floral-like patterns; just yummy all around. Speaking of yummy, that Heidi Swapp stamps is soooo sweet!

The 21 Day Challenge

The 21 Day Challenge that was administered by Rhonna Farrer on TwoPeas has come to an end. But boy was it fun and inspirational. It was nice to set a personal goal and to strive toward it by making it a part of my daily lifestyle; so that it becomes habit.

I did okay on my goal; I think it would have helped had I not decided to go on vacation midway through the challenge ...

At any rate, here's my completed 21 Day Challenge Quote Mini Book.

chipboard book: Maya Road
patterned paper: K and Co. (and some Basic Grey)
cardstock: Archiver's and craft supply
and lots and lots of embellishments

**note: I used the printer to print of the daily quotes; on some pages I even used PhotoShop to compose the entire quote

I'm in @ Craft Critique!

My reading group member sent me an email a while back about Craft Critique. At the time they were seeking reporters, you know, crafters, like me, to review and critique various craft products.

So I whipped up a review of the Cuttlebug and its many sandwiches.

I'm excited to be one of their reporters. The official notice is on their webbie.

Yea me!!!

21 Day Challenge

I'm participating in the 21 Day Challenge on Two Peas. The idea is that it takes 21 days to start or stop a habit. So pick a habit to start or pick a habit to stop. Then take the quotes and create a LO daily. So at the end of 21 days, you will have started or stopped a habit AND you will have a book/journal of daily motivational quotes. Rhonna Farrer is leading the challenge and she is doing an awesome job.

Here is my page from day 2. I am using a Maya Road chipboard book.

I love this project!

Butterflies

Here is a cute little card that I created based on a challenge on Ali Edwards' blog a few weeks ago. I have intentions on doing a larger version, but this was a quickie.

It was mostly easy. The hard part is lining up the butterfiles! Whew! And there are only eight here. But I like the concept. Just take the paper punch (the butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart; which is manufactured by EK Success) and punch away. And it is a good way to use up scraps too.

Love it.
